Mexico played rather badly.

I so much agree with u john, uruguay for a team to go up against france, they played amazing. Forlan for uruguay is a great player, should have put away the goal where he smashed it hard.

But anyways those actually watching this thread, today 3 matches...

South Korea Vs Greece
Argentina Vs Nigeria
England Vs USA

I feel that South Korea could have and should have won this at least 4 - 0, Greece were awful though, they almost scored an own goal from a passback to the Keeper... South Korea have been the best performing team in the World Cup so far.

Watching Argentina vs. Nigeria now, Argentina almost got 1 - 0 up within 40 seconds of the match and Tevez just messed up a second chance.


Argentina 1 - 0 (6th minute goal) - Terrific header from Heinze

Nigeria's crosses are going all over the place.

Argentina almost got a second goal from the same situation as the first (header from a corner) but not quite.

Nigeria just missed an easy chance to equalise.

Messi almost got a goal but the shot was saved, great save from a great shot. Corner now for Argentina.

Half time..
Argentina are by far the stronger side (of course) but Nigeria haven't played too bad considering they're against a team as good as Argentina.

Messi misses a shot in the 64th minute.

Nigeria just failed an equaliser.

Romero just saved a very good shot from Nigeria in the 77th minute.

Messi takes another shot that's saved.

Uche just missed a shot on goal.

4+ minutes stoppage time.

Final whistle blows.

Man of the match for me goes to Lionel Messi or the Nigerian Goal Keeper, Vincent Enyeama.
Good game, the second half was a little dull but Nigeria played very, very well, they did really deserve at least 1 goal and Argentina deserved at least another extra goal. Nigeria's Goal Keeper made a lot of great saves.

Made my decision, Man of the Match: Maradona. :P

 Man of the Match for me is either Gerrard or Howard.

I can't believe the yanks, making a substitution in the last 15 seconds of the game just to waste time so the match is drawn.

Gerrard played amazing, rooney played pretty shit, USA's goalkeeper (Howard) played good, Englands goalkeeper (Robert Green) played okish, let in a easy goal.

Overall the match was all england, USA just had luck.
